Sweet memories rediscovered
Once upon a time is what you will think and "I remember..." is what you will say when you take a stroll through our shop searching through antiques, vintage and wonderful retro collections, primitives and sometimes unique items. It is our joy to search high and low for those special items that are just waiting for you to discover at Woopi Jane's Thangs. You will find pretty vintage glass, quilts, advertising, silver, Victorian era delights, delicate old linens, chippy and crackled painted furniture, great retro kitchen items, sweet antique photos, kitchy creations, steampunked funk, primitive tools and early Americana. We will even keep your wish list in mind as we explore. Stop in and tell 'em Woopi Jane sent you at Blue Hills Antique Mall in Geronimo, Texas which is located just 6 miles West of I-10 and Seguin on Highway 123 towards San Marcos. It's just the best shop in Texas and you'll be glad you did. Be sure to ask for a 10% discount on WJ items. We welcome pickers to our barns and Woopi Jane's Horse Feathers Studio, by appointment, and will consider buying your item or items at resonable prices. Of course, my opinions are absolutly free. If we are not buying what you have to sell then we will send you to the right persons - From one item to a full estate sale or business liqudation we can take care of your needs.

New Look - New Inventory
I want to invite everyone to stop in Blue Hills Antique Mall in Geronimo. The past several days have been spent resetting and restocking 2 areas in the store. They are full to the rafters so that means that I am a motivated seller. I love to dicker and i will consider all offers and try to make things work for everyone. Remember that in addition to the store there is Horse Feathers Studio and the barns almost full.
Heres a few more photos of this weeks work.
See something you like? Shipping may be a possible and we do have lay-a-way.
This is the small area at the bottom of the stairs where you will find more primitive, country, and rustic offerings - All items marked WJ are 15% and several pieces are up 50% off.

Sale ~ Sale ~ Sale!
It's time for some spring cleaning at Woopi Jane's Thangs. We need to make room for several items we recently aquired from a small but nice estate that we bought out last week. Select items will be reduced by 50% with most other items on sale as well. This will include the "stuff" out on the porch.
There are several things in the works up at Horse Feathers Studio which will be in Geronimo real soon. Included will be a sweet 1930s curios cabinet that has been custom painted and I am still working on the Hoozier cabinet along with a few other smaller projects. Remember that it is a one woman show so don't get impatient if it takes a bit longer than you might think. Quality takes time!

Options, Options, Options
This time of year there is so much going on and it is impossible to take it all in. Classes are ending for the session for almost everyone which means we can expect to see some younger folks in the shop. It is also a time that our winter texans begin to head north. The weather has been dry so dealers are out and about in droves taking advantage os various sales and favorite pickin' spots.
Just this past weekend I was able to aquire the bid for a small 2 bedroom estate. There are lots of collectible smalls and a few nice art pices and small collectibles and assorted furniture. It is one of the situation that requires a move into assisted living. Keep posted for those and remember the auctions soon. I will post pics as the boxed are unpacked. That's the fun part.

Below is one of Woopi Jane's custom painted pieces - It is now located across the street from Blue Hills at Diamond D Boutique - They have 2 other pieces in their shop bought from Woopi Jane's Thangs. Great promotion for me - Thanks guys!

Tim Orcutt - Auction Building
I was talking to Tim recently at Blue Hills Antique Mall (where we are vendor neighbors) and learned that the new auction house building is up! Congrats to Tim. I, for one am very excited about a new auction opening up in our area. Not only is this a great and super fun way to pick up on inventory for resale, buy for your home and office, it is another venue for sales for dealers and individules. It feels really good to turn a few pieces that have not been working for you or maybe they were duplicates and find a few items that do work.
You know it's a tough world when we HAVE to go shop or when there's just too much and you have to "flip" a few pieces...What a life we get to enjoy, shopping, visiting, picking, meeting new folks, all the while gathering more "Stuff". There are more than just a few of us looking forward to Tim's sales. I think this will be a great opportunity for both buying and selling.
Drive by when you are out that way. From Seguin take I10 west towards San Antonio. The new digs are just a few miles out just passed the city limits. Check back for updates.

Love Booming!
Booming is what we all want and bOoMiNg is what happened this weekend at Woopi Jane's Thangs in Blue Hills - The shabby chic furniture was flying out of the door and a beautiful English gate leg table was snatched up before we even got it in place. Maybe this activity is due in part to the influx of great folks to the area for the big San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo as well as dealers out shopping to fill out their inventory for "Antique Week" in Roundtop and Warrington. Whatever the cause is we are loving the results!
